One of the great things about working at Toyota is that it hardly needs an introduction. We're the leading car manufacturer in NZ for over 30 years.

The interview process was extremely relaxed and conversational. My interviewer made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the discussion.
Without a doubt this was by far the most rigorous recruitment process I have experienced. While I had a positive experience throughout, I initially underestimated how involved it would be. The process included video submissions, pre-screening checks, phone interviews, online assessments, a group assessment centre with other candidates, presentation tasks, and panel interviews. It was certainly full on, but looking back, the experience was incredibly valuable. The process pushed me outside my comfort zone and taught me how to over prepare, communicate clearly, and perform without notice. Those are skills that have continued to benefit me well beyond the recruitment process itself.
We had the online assessment.
The interview process and assessments were what you would expect when applying for a graduate program. The key stages entailed: - applying with your CV, cover letter and a short video introducing yourself. - an online skills test - an in-person assessment centre involving a group task and individual interview. Toyota NZ made this a straightforward process with clear communication when next steps were required.
The recruitment process started with an online application that included a short video submission. This was followed by a phone interview featuring traditional interview questions, as well as online strengths and personality assessments. Candidates who successfully completed these stages were then invited to attend an Assessment Centre at the Palmerston North head office.
