Most people are friendly towards you. Very supportive and welcoming environment. Decent amount of socialising amongst colleagues.
The culture is awesome. Everyone is really willing to give their time to grads, and everyone is so nice. Making connections is easy - people often have lunch together, there are regular team quizzes and catchups, and the grad program is pretty big. There are around 30 grads in the Wellington office. After hours the grads will get together and do all sorts of things. There are clubs supported by Transpower, and many that aren't like hobbies, sports, or events. I am part of a social football team, go to board games nights, and go along to yo-pro events. Transpower has a pretty active yo-pro community, and events happen every 1-2 months. Transpower is pretty casual when it comes to hierarchy. You can talk to anyone you want as long as you're respectful. My superiors are great.
