Be more active and meet the right people
Trimble has a lot of internal mobility, which is normally how you can get a promotion. Positions often open up internally and then employees interview and then fill them. Usually it's about expressing interest in moving up and then keeping an eye out for an opportunity.
I feel that i could have a good UX career at Trimble, though im not 100% clear on what that career path looks like
