My role has been pretty strange - started with a manager that was not really a manager - now have a manager who only talks to me when I have an issue as he has too many drs - my team has been extremely fractious and unhappy being forced to do sprint and other personality issues - changes are occurring now and I think the future looks bright
Mangers sit with us together, there is no special office for the managers. There is no feeling of the hierarchy, we often have after hours events like team lunch. Also, there is a social club you can join, normally there is an event each month.
A fairly relaxed but professional atmosphere and culture. There's a social club for employees to get to know each other and do activities together. There's also a lot of employee-led social groups and support networks for almost any kind of topic imaginable. The company has a large and fairly complicated structure (even more complicated with CTCT, which is a joint venture), but it's easy to understand where you compare to the people you work with. People are cooperative and helpful, both in the office and after hours (even though they probably should be off the work chat by that point). People are quick to recognise the competency of their colleagues, so if you ask someone for help and they can't help you, then they can probably point you to someone who can.
In office culture is great, but could be fun to have some more after hours activities
