Probably the best part about Trimble NZ, great workplace culture, lots of opportunity to meet new people (various clubs like Social Club, etc), heaps of socialising opportunities, everyone is keen for a chat.
Good poeple, but the work feels slowly.
My team operates somewhat unconventionally as a service team rather than a product team. Because we each work individually to support various product teams, there isn't much collaboration within our immediate group. I would appreciate more opportunities to collaborate, as I learn best in an environment where I can shadow colleagues and receive immediate feedback on my projects. This is particularly challenging since our team is distributed across global time zones. This challenge has pushed me to build a strong support system within my local office. My mentor has been incredibly supportive, and I've built a great network of friends across different ages and backgrounds. I am especially grateful for our established graduate cohort, which has been awesome!
As a whole there is significant effort and thought put into wellbeing, work-life balance and events. Specific team cultures can vary quite differently, and like any job there are pros and cons. For the most part managers are doing their best to balance the needs of all employees and their responsibilities.
