If you have a vision for the future and want to shape communities, bring it to life at Ventia.
Pay is very high for NZ graduate role, extremely satisfied with it. However, Australian graduates are paid the same nominal figure, but in AUD and not NZD, so they are actually earning a vast amount more than me for the same role at the same company. Ventia uses total-remuneration contracts, so employer contributions are included in the overall salary package rather than being paid on top, which isn't cool and feels a tad out of step with their values. They should change this to the regular employer contribution on top of salary. They should change this to the regular 3.5% on top of salary. Pay is monthly, which is standard for corporate roles, but not fun in practicality. Fortnightly or weekly is preferred. Moving expenses are fully covered which is an excellent perk, if you're happy to work for the company for at least an extra two years after moving. NZ Health insurance is provided, but this is not a very generous policy. Leave policies are standard for NZ, however they expect you to take three weeks of leave over the Christmas/New Year's breaks, which is very harsh when you only earn four weeks of leave each year.
