There are plenty of opportunities throughout the graduate programme to explore different teams and areas of the business. The rotations provide valuable exposure to a range of functions, helping graduates discover where their interests lie and what type of role they may want to move into after completing the 18-month programme.

At the end of the first 18 months, you are able to begin looking for opportunities within the business to roll off the graduate programme. You are facilitated through this process, but it does also rely on the connections you make throughout your rotations in first year and at the beginning of second year.

It is clearly laid out how long we will spend in the graduate programme before moving into a permanent role. This permanent role is guaranteed, which is a really good opportunity to progress within the company.

As a first-year graduate at Z Energy, I've found there are good opportunities for career growth. The graduate programme provides exposure to different parts of the business, helping us build skills and identify future career paths. From what I've seen, progression comes from strong performance, taking initiative, and being willing to learn. So far, Z Energy supports my career aspirations through mentoring, meaningful projects, and development opportunities.

There are so many opportunities here to go into almost any part of the business, you do need a role to come up for you to be able to move into it, but they do make the effort to try to put you into a role that you are interested in.
