My managers have been easily accessible and available during my time so far and are always up for a quick or long chat. They put in effort to have either weekly or fortnightly formal catch ups as well and the many informal conversations on a day-to-day level. My managers and mentors provide availability allows me to feel supported in my ability to go to them when I have any questions or concerns. They provide praise for when completing a task to the desired level, while also providing feedback about the task done whether it was perfect or about what could be improved for next time.
It depends on the team, but for the most part I've found managers very accessible. They are giving with their time, calculated, and emotionally intelligent. They are supportive, dedicated to our development, yet also personable making it easy to connect with them beyond just the work.
