Z Energy

Having spent time in the Energy Solution business unit, it has been exciting to see that Z is making big investments into sustainable energy solutions, particularly EV charging. It's also been great to see how Z incorporates sustainability into everyday operations, with a range of initiatives to support their lower emissions transition.

I think it is important to acknowledge that the nature of the industry we work in relies on fossil fuels and contributes significantly to New Zealand’s greenhouse gas emissions. However, I believe that Z is supporting and leading the fuel industry’s transition towards a low-carbon future. It is great to see the company making these efforts where it can, and it is exciting to work for an organisation that is actuallky feels committed to making responsible and sustainable choices

Z Energy's commitment to sustainability is a key focus for the business as it works towards a lower-emissions future. I've seen this firsthand through projects I have been a part of and teams focused on supporting the transition to electric vehicles, including continued investment in EV charging infrastructure across New Zealand. It's been rewarding to see how sustainability is being incorporated into business decisions and long term strategy, demonstrating that Z is actively preparing for the changing energy landscape while continuing to meet customers needs.

There are so many different initiatives in place that ensure Z are focussed on New Zealand being more sustainable as we take the next steps into the future. There is a lot of effort being put in from each of the different teams so that they can reduce their environmental impact, helping New Zealand transition towards a more sustainable future. The Energy Solutions team is helping to lead the way with the environmental impact by offering New Zealand greater access to an electric charging system for cars across the Z network.
