AboitizPower is the holding company for the Aboitiz Group’s investments in power generation, distribution, and retail electricity services.
In terms of working hours and working arrangements, I would say that they are really flexible with the time considering that it is hybrid allowing us to go to work only two times a day. I only work for a total amount of 8 hours every day whether onsite or at home and 4 hours every Thursday. The employers understand that my priority will be my classes in my university so they allowed for me to work only 4 hours for Thursdays.
Our hours are quite flexible, thought it's harder to schedule meetings with the higher ups, usually since they're a lot more busy than we are.
At AboitizPower, we prioritize the significance of work-life balance and are committed to cultivating a flexible and accommodating work environment. While our standard work hours average 8 hours a day, we acknowledge that individual employees may have distinct needs. To address this, we offer flexible work arrangements, allowing team members to tailor their schedules during urgent matters or emergencies, aligning with personal and professional responsibilities. Additionally, we grant 2 days off each week to provide further respite. This flexibility is ingrained in our culture, which places a premium on results and productivity rather than rigid adherence to conventional work hours. Moreover, we provide tools and resources to facilitate remote work as needed, emphasizing our dedication to adaptability. The company's overarching goal is to foster an environment where employees can flourish both professionally and personally, encouraging seamless and healthy work-life integration.
We have a 48-hour week scheme in a 5-day compressed work week schedule. Our schedule within our team, considering we operate 24 hours daily, allows flexibility since we are allowed to manage it amongst the TMs discretion but is still compliant within the company policy and under the DOLE provisions. Additionally, the company has a hybrid work set-up allowing work-from-home arrangements (although, the operations team from which I belong to cannot enjoy this benefit).
