Inside PTC, Dyson's way of working is very unique as senior team members, management and even directors are all easily accessible and easy to talk to even as a graduate. Everyone working inside the company is more than willing to provide help or teach you things that you need help with or want to learn. However, I feel that there is an unavoidable gap in after-hours activities because of PTC's location in Santo Tomas which is quite distant from the more lively/interesting parts of area.
As a graduate, I would say that hierarchy is not as rigid as other would assume. We have leader interacting in our level to ensure that we are aware on the changes and plan from above. More importantly, leaders in Dyson doesn't shy away from problems happening below. They act and provide guidance when needed and requested by the team. For cooperation, everyone works together to complete project. Everyone helps each other but it is inevitable that there will be friction among different teams. However, despite this, outside of work, everyone still socializes with each other. Separation of work and personal life is quite prevalent.
Structure and hierarchy is not evident. We can reach out to upper management easily. After hours, we have extracurricular activities. Cooperation is easy since we get to bond together as a team.
People are very supportive and approachable when you aim to finish/complete a goal. I feel the culture of helping one another despite how busy you are with your own work. It is also a safe space to make mistakes, which is assuring for someone early in their careers and teaches you that making mistakes are alright as long as you don't repeat it as often. They always say fail fast because it's the best way to progress faster.
