At Dyson we are focused on solving the problems that others have ignored; solving them first using our technology and ingenuity.
The first assessment was not too difficult; however the following assessments did require substantial preparation to fulfill the requirements
Interview process and assessments were okay. It's a multi-step process that include virtual interview, portfolio preparation, technical assessment and a face-to-face interview. Each step of the process was quite nerve wrecking. From examining you're quick thinking and responsiveness to identifying your achievements and understanding you're trajectory in life. It's not a process where academics are everything, but rather a full review of how/what you did before, how you think and adapt now, and how you see yourself in the future.
We had an online interview with AI where you record yourself. A recruiter will then connect you with managers for technical interview.
The assessment can be average to challenging. In my experience, the interview was similar to a panel defense. I was given two topics to discuss and present, then answered questions from the panel. The goal is to see how well you communicate your ideas and respond to questions under pressure. The recruitment process is quite competitive, and applicants are carefully assessed and screened. Although it can be challenging, it feels very rewarding to be shortlisted and eventually get the role because you know you earned it through a thorough selection process.
