Administrative and dealing with people everyday
As an intern for the research and development (r&d) department at gardenia bakeries philippines inc., my role involved assisting in various product development and quality evaluation tasks. My day-to-day activities included preparing and baking test batches of bread and other baked goods, conducting sensory evaluations, encoding and analyzing data, monitoring shelf life studies, and assisting with innovation trials. I also supported product documentation and collaborated with other departments during testing or evaluation procedures. This role allowed me to apply my chemical engineering background in a food manufacturing setting and gain hands-on experience in product development and quality assessment.
Since i am assigned to work for the engineering department, my role and tasks varies from time to time. Because there are times where i'm assigned to help in production maintenance such as sonography and troubleshooting, and in inventory management, in repairing motors, and reviewing vfd functions.
My role as a tax regulatory compliance staff was bittersweet in a way of putting your heart on your role and be committed on the given task. On time filing in bir returns in order to avoid penalties and issuing 2307 certificates from clients.
