So far, we have completed Assurance Year 1 (Y1) training for associates, which covers foundational audit practices and methodologies. We also underwent PFRS or Basics Training, focusing on the Philippine Financial Reporting Standards. These programs have been instrumental in building our technical knowledge and preparing us for client engagements.
The training programs we had were highly informative. The eLearns were crafted with such care and detail, while the training proper with live facilitators were fast paced and relied mostly on group works, so from the start we were trained to work with different people. Not only were they focused on the technical aspect of our learnings, but they also taught us the values of the firm, and how we represent the firm so we should know how to act as proper representatives.
Good, I have learned a lot of skills that are not highlighted during when I was an undergrad.
My concern with the training opportunities is not of the content, but of the scheduling and facilitation during my training as a new hire. There were a lot of scheduling conflicts which escalates to forced remediation in some.
The training is very long and some of it is not already relevant to the role I am in. despite this, it is very informative, and they take trainings seriously.
