Throughout my 3 rotations, I was assigned both a mentor and a coach for each who were in charge of guiding and supporting me. They provided all the resources and training I needed to succeed and were very open and willing to teaching me the ropes. The company also provided me with 1 extra coach in the first 6 months whose role was to specifically help me adjust personally and professionally to the role.
Very good trainings. Lecturers also still provide teaching opportunities post-session.
I honestly learned how to fulfill my role by doing the actual tasks. I only had a week where I 'trained' primarily through shadowing. I picked up relevant recruiter skills such as administration, multitasking, coordination, effective communication and teamwork. I appreciated that they explained to me what they expected of me and they made sure to provide the support that I need. A lot also of what I've learned came from how my colleagues and leaders set themselves as examples for me. I was able to learn about how to be proactive in caring for the well-being of my team and how to collaborate with empathy.
As an intern, i mostly just gain coaching/mentoring from my supervisors in terms of all of my tasks until i have gotten accustomed to doing it, so that they can safely watch from the sidelines as i do more independent work. With this, i have gotten better at benchmarking, employer branding, and screening resumes. Each of these had immediate feedback from the supervisors, which allowed me to change and revise the tasks accordingly, until i was able to grasp what they were looking for. At which point, fewer and fewer comments were made. aside from this, i was also given multiple opportunities to sit in during their seminars (both online and onsite), where i was able to attend a few. I appreciate these seminars because i can use them in real life. Some of these were how to optimize one's linkedin as a recruiter and how to optimize platforms such as reddit and pinterest for marketing.
There is a lot of training provided, both technical and other aspects of growth. The company really invests in their employees and make sure they are always learning and growing.
