Since the internship is hybrid (mostly remote for hr/people & culture), the work hours are very flexible. There are no set tasks per day, as the supervisors understand that the interns still have academic units to fulfill. The supervisors also do not expect you to come to the office every day, just when necessary.
At least for the tax department, we are flexible because the nature of our work has deadlines, so it was manageable and expected already. Also, my boss's style is more on output-based and doesn't micromanage so that really helped us in our team. Our standard weekly hours is 48h, but we don't get to utilize that in the strictest sense because of flexibility and the balanced workload.
My current role allows flexibility and focuses on results. We are allowed to work smart in delivering results.
For procurement, we are flexible when it comes to working arrangements which includes also working remotely.
