I work from 9-6. When I was in Sales, I had to report to the office or go on field 4x a week, with the 5th day as a WFH day. In Non-Sales, I have 3x reporting to the office and 2x WFH.
Depending on the workload, I leave at 5 pm instead of 4 pm. Sometimes 6 pm.
We have the freedom to adjust our schedule depending on what distribution of the 48 hours per week would work best for us. Supposedly we're meant to work from Monday to Saturday but I choose to work on a compressed work week schedule. I work from 7AM to 6PM from Mondays until Thursdays and then on Fridays I work from 8AM to 5PM. Generally, I prefer to work onsite because it helps me to focus better, but I'm allowed to work from home if I need to.
Since the internship is hybrid (mostly remote for hr/people & culture), the work hours are very flexible. There are no set tasks per day, as the supervisors understand that the interns still have academic units to fulfill. The supervisors also do not expect you to come to the office every day, just when necessary.
At least for the tax department, we are flexible because the nature of our work has deadlines, so it was manageable and expected already. Also, my boss's style is more on output-based and doesn't micromanage so that really helped us in our team. Our standard weekly hours is 48h, but we don't get to utilize that in the strictest sense because of flexibility and the balanced workload.
