I believe my salary is fair for my current position. The company provided a salary increase last June, and I understand that another round of salary adjustments may be given between October and November for qualified employees. While the cost of living continues to rise, the company has been considerate in reviewing and adjusting compensation accordingly. Based on my experience, the company also provides a rice subsidy and a communication allowance. In addition, employees are entitled to a birthday leave, regardless of whether they are probationary or regular employees. This benefit is separate from vacation leave (VL) and sick leave (SL) credits.
Flexible Benefits, Communication Allowance
The salary package included rice and communication allowances, which were helpful additions to the base salary. However, after taxes and other mandatory deductions, the take-home pay is relatively modest which makes it hard to maintain a comfortable or standard of living in Metro Manila. This can be particularly challenging for employees who are not only supporting themselves but also contributing to their families' financial needs.
Generous leave policies which is includes one vacation leave and one sick leave for every month of service.
