In my role, the training programs are really helpful because the focus on both technical and soft skills. We had knowledge transfer sessions almost every day, which gives me a clearer understanding of the processes and tools we use. I want to add also that my team is very supportive, so I learn through coaching and guidance form my colleagues.
Sun Life Global Solutions - Philippines gives extensive training programs through my Learning Navigator, with these, I picked up knowledge and somehow skills that I can use throughout my work and also for my career growth. Samples are Agile 101 and also DevOps 101 which give me the opportunity to know and delve into the said topics.
It was really taking effect real time because my team is very hands on about me. It's just that it's kind of overwhelming at some point especially if you're not used to socialize for a whole day and you have to digest information time after time.
The trainings were composed of online and face-to-face training. Sometimes the training can be taken for a few hours, then face-to-face trainings are whole day. We are not just trained for technical skills, but also our soft/people skills. I also love the free food on face-to-face trainings!
