- Dedicated intern coordinators (there might be two) so there is a very clear structure - Consistent opportunities to receive feedback - Some teams have very consistent and predictable work, it makes it easy to navigate the day - Some projects and clients are exciting and interesting - You'll be introduced to a lot of different associates, managers, and VPs to learn about their professional experience -- they emphasize networking - Vice presidents and managers are nice and kind; I only had negative experiences with specific (senior) associates - Some associates are flat out toxic. If you make some mistakes in the beginning, some associates won't let go and will gossip about you. - Some associates are incredibly opaque and don't give clear performance reviews, just broad criticism without pointing to actual mistakes or areas to improve - Pays minimum wage, should be a lot higher - There is not a concrete pipeline to getting a full-time job -- it isn't like you'll get a return offer, you need to apply to an associate job listing if it comes up - They discourage/don't allow overtime but that means you need to fit in a lot of work in your 8 hours; they want to seem like they encourage WLB but actually seems like they're too cheap to pay you more
