About Us

Employer League is the scoreboard for exceptional employers.

We independently score and rank employers by career path under a published data protocol.

In most major markets there are independent standards people trust - like university rankings or credit agencies. This is not the case in the careers market.

While employer ranking systems have existed, most have failed in the same three ways:

  • Pay to play: When commercial influence enters the ranking, the signal collapses. The data becomes worthless to the candidate and easy for executives to ignore.

  • Generic averages: Most benchmarks are too broad to be useful. 'Top employer in engineering' isn't meaningful enough for people who are looking for civil engineering employers specifically, and isn't usable intelligence for talent teams.

  • Dead-end scores: A rank without a diagnosis is just theatre. It might tell you where you sit but not what's driving performance or what needs to change.

The absence of an independent measure has a significant cost: a market built on incomplete and unreliable data – with candidates left guessing and no way to measure or identify truly exceptional employers.

Employer League changes that. We turn fragmented information into a single, consistent scoreboard, applied across every employer and career path in our dataset.

To do this credibly, we operate by a few non-negotiables:

01

A score no one can buy

We are 100% independent. If an employer can buy a score, negotiate a position, or pay to hide a result, the scoreboard becomes meaningless. We remove commercial influence so candidates and employers can always trust the outcome.

02

An open protocol

Transparency is the only way trust is earned. We verify identities, enforce minimum sample thresholds, and design against manipulation. We don't run a black box; we publish our methodology, so anyone can see how scores are produced.

03

The stakes are human

Behind every score sits a life-changing decision - someone betting their career, their income, and their time on our work. Getting it right isn't a quality bar, it's a human obligation we honour.

Employer League scores are built from three sources: large-scale independent surveys, verified employee reviews, and reported market and industry data
