This policy explains how Employer League collects, uses and safeguards your personal information. If you have any questions regarding this policy, you can contact us at any time on [email protected].
We only collect information that helps us build a more accurate standard for you. This may include:
Identifying information and contact details: Your name and email address to maintain your account.
Career context: Your study history, grades, and preferences. This ensures the rankings you see are relevant to your career path.
Work rights: Your nationality and work eligibility, so we can show you opportunities you can actually pursue.
Review and survey data: The employer surveys and reviews you submit. These are the core inputs of the grading protocol.
Technical data: Your IP and location, used to verify that reviews come from legitimate sources and to show you relevant regional data.
Note on sensitive data: If you include sensitive information (like religious beliefs or or sexual orientation) in a CV you upload, we only use this to provide our services and will never disclose it without your explicit consent.
You can use parts of Employer League without identifying yourself, but some services require a registered account.
We collect personal information directly when you register an account, set up a profile, or submit a review.
We also collect technical data automatically when you interact with our platform, including your browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers, to ensure security and Employer League reviews remain verified.
If you log in via a third-party like Google or a university portal, we receive basic account information to save you time on set-up.
We use your data to maintain the integrity of the Employer League standard:
Personalisation: Showing you the employers that matter to your career path and preferences.
Verification: Ensuring every review is tied to a real person.
Consent-based Contact: Allowing employers to reach out to you only if you have opted in. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
No automated decisions: We do not use your data for automated profiling or decision-making that affects your legal standing.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We only share it with partners (like universities or legal advisers) when necessary to run the platform or meet legal obligations.
If Employer League is involved in a sale, merger or transfer of business assets, your information may be transferred to the new entity. We’ll notify you if this happens and ensure your information continues to be handled in line with this policy.
If you've given us your email address, we may contact you about:

No system is completely secure. While we take all reasonable steps to protect your information, we can't guarantee that a breach will never occur. If one does, we'll notify you in accordance with our legal obligations.
We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. In practice:
Account information is kept for as long as your account is active.
Review and survey data is retained to maintain the integrity of the grading protocol, even if your account is deleted. We review retained data periodically and anonymise or delete it when it is no longer required for this purpose.
Anonymous and aggregate data may be retained indefinitely for research and statistical purposes.
