Currently as an intern, during the semester I work 1 day a week, however, this is fully flexible around my uni studies. During Semester breaks I choose to work full time. In terms of working from home as an intern and graduate your except to always work in the office, which I agree with as the office is a more supportive environment.
My employer is extremely flexible regarding working hours and remote work. My hours are as a result of the amount of work my office has.
You are expected to work 37.5 hours that is all, as a graduate you are meant to be in 5 days a week, but work from home is definitely an option
There was initially a perceived problem to flexibility when I started. The person making those comments left the business and hasn't been an explicit problem since. However, there is still a general expectation that you are online when others are, and that you should be available to call whenever others are online. Occasionally comments are made, but it appears well meant. The culture overall doesn't seem to embrace flexibility, as working flexibly, unless on top of what the baseline hours are, is not seen as the norm.
