Pretty smooth and standard questions were asked.
The recruitment process, was unorganised, uncommunicative, and took place over 6 months. There were consistently technical errors, communication issues and timeliness issues that reflected poorly on the organisation as a whole. The initial timeline for the recruitment process placed the second stage (written assessment) approximately one month after the applications were due. Applicants were instead contacted about the second stage 3 months after the closure of the application period, it is significant to note that no communication was sent in relation to the delay. The graduate recruitment team had technical issues running the written assessment as offered little to no consideration for people in technically challenging set ups (I was traveling in remote Mexico and did not have a laptop at the time as the assessment delayed 2 months from the suggested timeline), the team was unable to tell me which programs I would need to use until the day before the assessment, significantly impacting my ability to ensure I would be able to access the assessment. Similar communication issues and delays surrounded the interview (third stage) although I will note the team was excepting of my limited availability. The final (acceptance) process was also riddled with confusion, applicants were advised during the application process we would receive outcomes by the end of October, implying a clear decision at this point, instead applicants received an email advising they had been placed on a merit list at the end of October. This was not something applicants had been advised of and some applicants found the merit listing email distressing as they anticipated being able to finalise their choices inline with the October deadline and were uncertain what the email meant. Offers of employment were sent in November after 6 months of poorly communicated processes and delays. I am also aware of further technical issues where applicants received incorrect offers of employment, or the graduate team failed to connect the correct email address, and more.
Stage 1 was 1 min video of why do I think I am a fit for ACT Grad role, Stage 2 was Written Assessment over teams call, 1 hr Stage 3 was Interview. It was a panel of 3 4 members over a teams call.
