Lots of specific training days for Grads and mentoring opportunities are available too.
Very contingent on role, site and supervisor, with some departments and functions being much more established than others. Personally I've had very little in terms of formal or structured training/development which has been extremely frustrating as a graduate.
My coaching and mentoring have never been adequately organised for me in the graduate program, and it appears that other chemists are not aware or equipped to take me on to coach and train me. The TRACCESS Training program is okay to know the list of things to learn but the supervisor will showcase me on the list of people that have not completed the training but if I attempt to complete it with the last task being for him to watch me complete the task and sign me off-the sentiment is that it is not important and there are more urgent things to attend to.
AIM courses provided are great, would be good to have a few more external training days for other types of courses
