Great external workshops and programs offered including seminars on the inner workings of the energy industry, and more personal development workshops aimed at supporting better communication, resilience, and adaptability, for example.

There have been many opportunities for training both role specific and as part of the graduate cohort. Each graduate has a training budget which they can use for development in their areas of interest. Training in soft skills include SOW and Contracts, Sharepoint, Effective Communication, Presenting with Confidence, amongst many others. Technical/software training includes, Vibration analysis and condition monitoring, Power BI, SQL, PI Systems, Engineering risk management, and others. I have also obtained permits which allow me to work on site, including working at heights, confined spaces and gas testing, first aid, and fire safety training. Lastly, I have received formal mentoring via Mentorloop at Alinta.

I receive so much support from my manager, the early careers team to develop skills, acquire certificates and get access/sign ups to expensive software! They put so much money and effort in us to make sure we get the most of the grad program. I get to go on all the site trips, meet people and stakeholders and get real immersion in the work we do.
