The interview process involved discussing my interests and experiences related to the company's work and specific projects they were working on.
Very smooth and friendly interview process. Interviewers were very enthusiastic and genuinely wanted to get to know who they were interviewing.
I feel that compared to other graduates, my experience getting an interview was a lot less confusing because I had an inside connection. I had done my honours research thesis with a more senior member of staff who was very enthusiastic about referring me for an interview to the regional manager of the Sydney office. That staff member gave me the contact details of the regional member, and I emailed my resume and cover letter to them. This was followed by an interview at the Sydney office with Ollie and Lisa. They created a very relaxed atmosphere and I felt that we got along very well. They were also flexible with starting dates and didn't mind that I was planning to move to Melbourne next year.
The process was unique in that it involved expressing my interest to work on projects in a specific field (hydrology), which lead to an in-person interview to discuss my qualifications and interest in working at the company.
