There are many opportunities for development at amp, for upskilling in specific competencies, growing knowledge about the business, or for career progression. lunchtime learning sessions about different parts of the business and technical topics happen regularly, both within business streams and company-wide. In my area of the business, there is a mentoring program that you can be part of, either as a mentor or mentee. for graduates specifically, there is an entire series of development workshops and activities you take part in, learning about networking, personal brands, collaboration, presenting etc. This all culminates into a business improvement project, where you work with peers to create a solution to a business problem statement, and then pitch your ideas to exco. feedback for performance is also given regularly, including quarterly formal check-ins.
The grad program includes a wide variety of training programmes such as workshops with 10,000 hours (external provider) who run development workshops to assist us in developing the neccessary skills for professional success. Skills learnt in this workshops include prioritisation, self management and working effectively in teams. Regarding performance feedback - there are regular opportunities which are provided to you for you to receive feedback on the work that you complete i.e. Through your manager as well as through quarterly check ins as well. The company also provides disc - a useful tool for understanding self and others. Access to this tool allows employees to better understand who they are as a person and how others in the orgranisation work as well to ensure success towards achieving common goals
