Recently became engaged with a principal engineer to act as my professional development mentor where I can approach when needed, which has been a huge benefit.
It is only my first year, but I have had the opportunity to take part in all aspects of a project and have been given quite a lot of responsibility for a grad (can say no as well). I have now passed probation and am undertaking discussions with my team leader on promotion possibilities and the requirements I need to continue working towards fulfilling. The business is focussed on developing grads as efficiently and appropriately as possible.
