Training is required for graduate improvement, technical training is also frequently offered, and I have been involved in it. I was also setup with a mentor that I talk to on a regular basis to try and improve my skills as an engineer and professional. I have picked up many skills on working in a professional work environment, organisational skills and gained a wealth of knowledge about engineering due to the environment and the willingness of more senior engineers sharing their knowledge.

The diploma has helped as I had no understanding of project management and there is mentoring which has been great, having someone to support you outside of your discipline. There is also mandatory grad training which has been good to provide us with essential skills to thrive outside of the program
