There is a clear process for promotion in my role. Following admission and the completion of the Graduate year there is a promotion to lawyer. From there, further promotions are based on meeting various targets as outlined by the firm, which are quite high targets but are required to meet the expectations of those higher job roles.
Yes there are decent opportunities to move up the ranks and a pretty good remuneration process.
The company offers clear opportunities for promotion and career advancement. Progression is often based on a combination of performance, initiative, and the ability to build strong client relationships. Employees who demonstrate a commitment to client service, develop meaningful connections with clients, and consistently deliver high-quality work are typically recognized and considered for advancement.
Certainly - if you remain in the role with a motivation and desire to grow your career and expertise alongside the firm, the promotions come naturally I think. Upon completion of the Graduate program, you are promoted to the Lawyer role in your settled practice area. If you remain as a Lawyer for 4-5 years and meet the firm's expectation, I understand you are then typically promoted to Senior Associate. During the time of, and in between all of such ranks, there are ample secondment opportunities, including internationally. There is also a specific international secondment program that is available as early as the Graduate program, although it is competitive.
