The day-to-day tasks vary significantly depending on which team you are rotating through. I've completed a variety of tasks in my role so far including drafting advice and matter documents, completing research, and reviewing documents. Most of these tasks I have been satisfied with and enjoyed working on.
In my role, I review medical records, affidavits, and legal notices to ensure accuracy and completeness. I attend client meetings to discuss case progress and gather information. My day-to-day tasks also include preparing summaries, organising case files, and communicating with colleagues to support our cases efficiently.
The day-to-day tasks can vary as a Graduate, and they can be less meaningful and more administrative at times - but that is also the nature of being a Graduate, and having less experience, to be able to do such work easier. Graduates are still given and challenged with meaningful work frequently. The firm is also very well resourced for more of the monotonous and administrative tasks - the firm has a 'Hub' that can assist with all administrative matters, compiling briefs for court, running ASIC/litigation searches, etc. This is in addition to practice executives and paralegals employed by the firm.
