The buddy/supervisor system is a great way of promoting mentorship and feedback/growth. Supervising lawyers in particular I've found have been great for mentorship and feedback. The partners are all very approachable and willing to chat to juniors. In terms of mentorship and feedback it varies; some will give lots and make a concerted effort, however some are spread thin and don't have as much capacity for that.
