My day-to-day responsibilities vary and touch on many different technical areas. Even though Im a graduate, Im still supporting the broader intelligence efforts, all of which contribute to keeping Australia and Australians safe from threats to their security.
Working on complex problems with intelligent people to solve real world problems. There are aspects of 1 on 1 mentoring from experienced members of the team to speed up learning, as well as being given autonomy and responsibility over solo projects that are part of a bigger solution.
Day to day tasks always feel meaningful and like I am contributing to something bigger, even when the tasks themselves are small and seemingly insignificant. As with all public service role, the pace of work can ebb and flow.
