The workplace culture can vary quite a bit depending on the team you join. Having worked in two different teams, I've found that a strong team culture is often driven by the people within the team rather than the company itself. Some managers and senior staff are excellent at fostering collaboration and supporting their teams, while others can be more hierarchical in their approach. Teamwork is generally encouraged, but one area that could be improved is communication and responsiveness. Even simple acknowledgements can make a big difference when working across large teams and projects. In terms of socialising, there are some great initiatives, particularly for graduates. The graduate community organises social events, and programs such as Coffee Roulette help employees connect with people from across the business. My previous team also made a conscious effort to come into the office and spend time together, which helped build strong relationships. While flexible and remote working arrangements are common, they can sometimes make it harder to create a sense of community. Overall, I've seen some excellent team cultures within the company, but the experience can depend heavily on the specific team and leaders you work with.
