My satisfaction with the work has varied depending on the role and team. When I was working more regularly, it was easier for managers to assign meaningful tasks and longer-term pieces of work. My responsibilities included developing, maintaining, and improving Excel-based tools, as well as completing one-off tasks such as schedule and budget analysis. In my current role, I only work two days per week, which can make it harder for the team to allocate larger pieces of work. As a result, my day-to-day tasks are more administration-focused. These include coordinating regular stakeholder check-ins, updating Excel workbooks and wiki pages, taking meeting minutes, and preparing slide decks for meetings. While I enjoy contributing to the team, I would like more opportunities to take ownership of larger tasks and projects.
Yes meaningful, feel like I am given important tasks and responsibilities by people. Trust and training is given out towards what needs to be done and always someone to check work as well.
