I work a 40 hour week and get one day off a month. My work has me in office and on site. The flexible hours are especially useful on site as they give me the flexibility to start and end my day earlier or later.

I am on RDOs (rostered days off), which is having every second Friday off. You must complete the 76 hours across the fortnight to get that day off. So, instead of the general 7.6 hour day, I do 8.5 hours a day. A lot of my team is starting at 7am and clocks off between 3pm-4pm depending what schedule they are on. The extra day off every couple of weeks really helps break up the fortnight and aids in no burn out. Working from home is something that is offered, up to 2 days a week. However, if you need to do an extra day because you're sick or have an important commitment, they are very understanding in letting you have another day at home. As long as you are performing and completing your work, they are very flexible.
