Training is focused on the skills we actually use day to day, with certifications that start from the basics and build up. We get proper training before working with clients, which helps a lot. There's also good support for continuous learning, once you finish one certification, you're encouraged to keep going and pick up more.
The company provides a range of training and development opportunities, including online learning, and support from experienced colleagues and managers. I've been able to develop both technical and professional skills, such as problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork.
Growth opportunities and training is generally great and there is a lot on offer, and you generally get to choose what you like to learn but a lot of training time can be taken up by mandatory courses that aren't always relevant to your work or your skill level, they should make this more tailored to the graduate. I have had the opportunity to do many AWS courses in person at the amazon office.
Industry training is available like for Public Sector, AI, Consumer Products. Workplace-hosted in-person learning sessions are frequent enough and we have access to online platforms like Coursera. We discuss feedback and development goals with our people managers. These opportunities are good but the overall learning KPIs expected of grads are steep.
1. 2-week orientation at the very beginning of the graduate programme helped us to develop our core consulting skills. This was an intensive two weeks of masterclasses. 2. "The Institute" was a 10-week programme for those in Invent that further developed the core consulting skills. This included weekly tasks, weekly catch ups and masterclasses. Online learning platforms like Coursera and Udemy were available, with reimbursement available for online certificates like SAP, Google and AWS. Upskilling is highlighted and emphasised with many events and masterclasses that add to your learning hours,
