As clerks, we have the opportunity to become a "graduate" at the firm in the following years after the clerkship. I think the spots for graduates are quite limited in comparison to the number of clerks they take, but otherwise it is a good program.
The company provides structured progress, and training at every step of the process. This is a really appealing part of CU, and it is seen in practice in the number of internal promotions every year.
If I am successful in receiving a graduate role, there are plenty of career development training sessions, a structured graduate program, and career progression is quite standard across other similar commercial law firms. They are not secretive about career progression.
