I have really enjoyed my tasks. I did a lot of research, which I don't mind. But I prefer the tasks related to real matters which I've gotten a lot of over the last couple weeks which has been great.
Sometimes you would get smaller tasks like helping to review a document, but every task felt really exciting because you were getting exposure to different areas of the law, or at least a different commercial document. I found that the teams have really taken the time to explain more complex tasks to me too, and provide background detail to a matter or task. I was also asked what sort of work I was interested in within the team, and where I did have a preference, they tried to give me tasks in those areas. Generally, my tasks involved reviewing documents, drafting client insight articles, conducting research and writing memorandums, attending hearings and helping with note taking.
