Very flexible to remote work. Occasional weekend work but working late is common and relatively inflexible (team dependent).
You are empowered to complete all of the work assigned to you in the manner which best suits you, but encouraged to limit working from home unless required as it is important to grow your network / be present with your team at the early stage. Commercial law firms do require more hours than regular 9-5, sometimes significantly more in busy periods, but Corrs is very good at acknowledging when someone has been working very hard and encourages adequate rest following such periods. For example, if you do a 50 hour week, the following week you will be given the opportunity to reduce your workload.
Corrs is very flexible when it comes to working arrangements. We are generally able to work from home whenever it is convenient, provided it does not interfere with team commitments, meetings, client work, or court appearances. The firm recognises that people have commitments outside of work and, where possible, allows individuals to manage their hours in a way that suits both their personal and professional responsibilities. There is a strong focus on flexibility and trust, with employees encouraged to communicate openly about their schedules and workload. I have also found that the firm is proactive about wellbeing. There are regular check-ins when people are working longer hours than expected, which helps ensure workloads remain manageable and that support is available when needed. Overall, I have found the culture to be highly flexible, supportive, and understanding of life outside work.
