As a Graduate Accountant, my day-to-day responsibilities involve preparing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS's, and workpapers for a wide range of clients across different industries. I am also involved in bookkeeping reviews, tax research, reconciliations, payroll-related matters, and responding to client queries. One of the aspects I enjoy most about the role is the variety of work available. Exposure to both tax and business advisory engagements means no two days are exactly the same, and there are regular opportunities to develop new technical skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility. The work is challenging and meaningful, providing a strong foundation for both professional development and progression through the CA Program. As my experience has grown, I have also had greater involvement in client communication, problem-solving, and managing jobs from start to finish, which has made the role both rewarding and engaging.

As a graduate, my role involves preparing client workpapers, income tax returns, BAS's and financial statements for a range of entities, including individuals, companies and trusts. I also assist with group tax planning and assist senior team members to gather client information, resolve queries, meet lodgement deadlines and provide accounting support.
