Navy's purpose is to protect Australia and its interests and to do this we require engineers who are innovative, forward-thinking and creative.
Due to nature of APS and public spending, group events are less common as individuals have to pay themselves. Culture varies greatly within teams/locations. Some teams can be very quiet and isolating for new graduates.
Depends on the particular city, currently relatively good on most days with conversations about interests as well.
