career progression in graduate program is good - good opportunities to discuss career with teams and supervisors - active mentoring
Education generally provides good opportunities to move up the ranks and fulfil career aspirations but it is quite variable between teams which can feel limiting. In some teams you'll see young people in senior roles and witness people moving up the ranks quite quickly. Other teams will be quite top heavy and you'll see middle managers (E.g. APS 6s) who are extremely experienced which makes it hard to conceive of moving up the ranks. So while there are opportunities, it can feel a little inconsistent across the department.
Promotion possibilities are strong, especially with great leadership and recognition that make it clear what it takes to move up. Yes, my employer supports my career aspirations, and I’ve worked hard to get where I am, with opportunities that reward effort and growth.
Relatively easy to move between roles in the APS and take up new opportunities, even as a short-term secondment.
