Overall I have had lovely managers who have been good mentors and are great at giving feedback. I have observed some managers who are missing some of the people skills but are extremely adept at getting things done. Seeing this has been challenging at times but different leadership styles are something to consider across every industry. Internal communication, performance feedback, and praise/recognition has generally been strong but this is highly variable cross the department.
My direct supervisor is really great, she takes on feedback really well and is always willing to help. My managers are also very helpful, sometimes they can be more difficult to reach because they are busy but generally, if I have a question, they are willing to answer it.
