dress code is smart casual - work environment is good - ergonomic desks, sufficient space and storage - some areas of the building have less light
The physical environment at Education both in Canberra and Brisbane is fantastic. The facilities are quite modern, especially the Brisbane office, and there is good support for workplace health and safety things, especially like getting a workstation assessment. The location of the Brisbane office is fantastic as we are in the middle of the city near good public transport. The dress code at Education has always been quite relaxed and accepting of more alternative appearances. It is quite normal to see people wearing dress sneakers, comfortable shoes, and weather appropriate officewear in summer-time. It's also encouraging to see people walking around with visible tattoos and piercings, indicating an acceptance of more alternative appearances.
Facilities are suitable for use. Dress code differs team to team.
Physical work environment varies depending on what level you're on. My first role had smaller desks positioned in rows of about 5 along the floor, while my current role has larger desks in pods of 4, so there's more space, privacy and generally less people crammed in. Dress code is business casual.
