was standard interview process through graduate program for government
I was accepted into the Department of Education through the Australian Government Graduate Program and was successful as a Generalist Graduate. I found the interview process and assessments to be quite rigorous but also generally a good method of determining eligibility. From memory I participated in psychometric testing, before doing a virtual interview which included creating a presentation and then engaging in a written component. I found this latter task to be quite intensive but overall enjoyed the experience. One surprising thing about my experience was going through a rigorous Graduate Application process and then not being given enough work to do when starting as an APS3. This was a bit of a challenge as I was keen to show off my potential so it was somewhat frustrating to not have much to do after having to put so much effort into my application.
Easy communication.
