My team mostly sits in a pod of four, where we often socialise, joke and collaborate with each other. We have a very positive culture where we a very open and happy with each other and I feel very comfortable discussing all matters and making requests to my supervisor.
Slightly too hierarchical. Teams cooperate and work well together. Colleague socialisation exists but is limited outside of among the graduate cohort. Lots of socialisation with other grads.
In my team, the culture is very good. In the department there are sometimes unreasonable expectations, long hours, and toxic behaviour.
culture has been mostly great. There have been some prickly interactions/individuals, some middle-management issues, and some work-life separation issues but mostly the teamwork is good, colleagues are sociable and fun to talk to etc.
