Hard to describe - basically just admin work not meaningful
I am in the gateway engineering team currently, which encompasses a wide range of things such as managing firewalls, proxys, and other network devices.
Right now in my second rotation i am not, because it's boring administrative stuff, but last rotation i got to sink my teeth into some real policy stuff which was great
Tasks can include, engaging with state governments, collating data, answering questions on notice, preparing freedom of information requests and preparing data for publication.
My old team I was often (but not always) doubting the usefulness of my work, it certainly felt unfulfilling. In my new team I feel that I am making a difference and I'm much more interested in the BAU work.
