My managers all work in a different state, but they are very accessible through teams and are very responsive when I send messages. I am never waiting too long for a response. They are good mentors and I have learned a lot from them. Assigning tasks, giving feedback, checking in, or giving praise or recognition always goes well.
I have very little to no contact with my "manager". They have been resistant to arranging required meetings regarding the performance plans etc. They are perfectly friendly, but they don't really manage the team.
